Arrowhead Stadium

Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, is the loudest stadium in the National Football League.

A world-record noise level is among the things that make Arrowhead Stadium special. The excellent sightlines, world-class atmosphere and competitive football team make this one of the best stadiums in the NFL.

A capacity of 76,416 makes Arrowhead Stadium the sixth-highest-capacity NFL stadium.

FirstĀ opened in August of 1972, Arrowhead Stadium underwent massive renovations from 2007 to 2010 along with the Kansas City Royals’ Kauffman Stadium. These upgrades added outside seating for luxury suites and a facade on the outside of the stadium. The renovations also added the Chiefs Hall of Fame, where a great amount of Chiefs memorabilia is on display.

Arrowhead Stadium had the opportunity to host Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, but voters rejected the funding for a retractable roof over the stadium.

Some important events hosted by Arrowhead have been the Kansas City Wizards’ 2-1 friendly win over Manchester United in 2010 and the Kansas City Chiefs’ home playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens in 2010, which ended in a 30-7 loss for the Chiefs.
