Football players have gotten very creative since the league relaxed the touchdown celebration policy ahead of the 2017 season and Kansas City has had some awesome celebrations. From “giving CPR” to a “pit stop” fans have been treated to a whole new aspect of post-touchdown entertainment never before seen (without yellow flags, at least).
If you need a quick refresher, the updated league rules for celebrations are:
- Players can use the football as a prop in celebrations
- Players can celebrate on the ground
- Group demonstrations are (finally) allowed
With more freedom, Chiefs players have been able to have more fun and be more creative. Below is our list of top celebrations from the Chiefs since the policy change ahead of the 2017 season.
______________________________________________________________________________
10. Patrick Mahomes (10/1/2018 at Broncos)
Patrick Mahomes used his legs as he scampered into the end zone on an 8-yard score at Denver, and followed with an impressive “wipe down” of his jersey. Mahomes then juked and shimmied with teammate Demarcus Robinson before draining a faux fade away in the back of the end zone after the score.

9. Chris Conley & Patrick Mahomes (9/23/2018 vs. 49ers)
Coming in at No. 9 on our list is Chris Conley. While the celebration was not much to write home about, we had to get this play on the list for the sole reason of watching Patrick Mahomes evade the 49ers defense and sling a rocket over 60 miles per hour on the run…GOODNESS!
______________________________________________________________________________
8. Tyreek Hill & Anthony Sherman (12/16/2017 vs. Chargers)
After Tyreek Hill scored on a 64-yard strike from Alex Smith against the Chargers at Arrowhead in 2017, he needed a quick pit stop with his pit crew, headlined by Anthony “Sausage” Sherman on tires.
______________________________________________________________________________
7. Demetrius Harris & Tyreek Hill (9/23/2018 vs. 49ers)
Tight End Demetrius Harris channeled his days on the hardwood in college with this celebration with teammate Tyreek Hill. On this play, Harris caught an easy touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes and then used Hill as a basket, shooting the ball through his arms for the bucket.

6. Tyreek Hill (9/9/2018 at Chargers)
Tyreek Hill showed off his athleticism after a key touchdown reception in a win over the Chargers in the 2018 season opener, pulling off a clean back flip on the road in Los Angeles.
______________________________________________________________________________
5. Tyreek Hill (10/21/2018 vs. Bengals)
Once again, Tyreek Hill makes an appearance on our list at No. 5. Hill has become one of the top receivers in the league in 2018, and with that he has had a chance to show off his creativity in the end zone a lot more this season. His “CPR” celebration here against the Bengals was a perfect cap to a dominant Kansas City victory on Sunday Night Football in front of a national audience.
______________________________________________________________________________
4. Travis Kelce & Tyreek Hill (11/5/2017 at Cowboys)
Number four on the list goes to Travis Kelce. After a go-ahead touchdown from Travis Kelce against the Cowboys, a sack race broke out between Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Demarcus Robinson. Kelce picked up the victory as Hill and Robinson were unable to stay on their feet in the race.
______________________________________________________________________________
3. Demetrius Harris (10/21/2018 vs. Bengals)
Number three on the list goes to Demetrius Harris. The former hoops star has also emerged as an elite celebration specialist, channeling his inner-Ezekiel Elliott with this “hide-and-seek” celebration against the Bengals early on in 2018. (He also had a great Tiger Woods-inspired celebration back in 2016 after the famed “Hungry Pig” touchdown pass from Dontari Poe to put away the Broncos.
______________________________________________________________________________
2. Tyreek Hill (11/11/2018 vs. Cardinals)
After Tyreek Hill caught a record-breaking touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes (most single-season passing touchdowns in Chiefs history), he decided to catch the moment on camera to celebrate…that camera just happened to be a giant TV camera!
______________________________________________________________________________
1. Travis Kelce (12/2/2018 at Raiders)
Number one on our list goes to Travis Kelce. Kelce channeled his inner Stone Cold Steve Austin with this patented “Stone Cold Stunner” after an early touchdown against the Raiders. This Kelce touchdown reception was his eighth of the season, which tied a career high for the league’s best tight end.
